Direct Support Professional
All Shifts needed for weekends, and 3-11 and 11-7shifts on weekdays. Responsible for assisting the Residential Supervisor with the physical care, guidance, and supervision of Intellectually Disabled individuals in a group home and or day support setting. Performs activities and duties to help individuals develop acceptable habits and attitudes; helps the individuals meet the outcomes of any service or behavioral plan; ensures daily needs and health and safety of the individual are met; assist individuals with daily hygiene and personal living skills; complete data collection in accord with a person-centered plan; responds quickly and appropriately to unpredictable behavior and circumstances. Other duties as required. 2 years experience and valid, active and up to date drivers license are required.
Responsible for the organization and coordination of the Human Resources department to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency; organize hiring, orientation and training of new staff members and process new hire paperwork; responsible for maintaining employee filing systems; ensuring that they are current; establish and monitor procedures for record keeping; track and schedule training for employees as needed to ensure that all training remains current; ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data; Type correspondence; create spreadsheets; power points and other duties as needed.
Requirements: High school diploma with 2 - 5 years of administrative and supervisory experience; Strong oral and written communication skills; must be able to multi-task; must possess the ability to work with Microsoft office suite, create spreadsheets and power point; ability to type 60 - 75 words per minute;
